Hi I've just installed NNTPCache and NewsCache. NNTPCache seems to be much more efficient and would be my choice if don't have one problem: it expires articles and headers even as soon as one minute after downloading them from server! This is perfectly repeateble. I would be very thankful for any help/suggestions what did I made mistake. This is fragment of log: Sep 30 00:01:06 gate nntpcache-expire[30425]: expire task awakening Sep 30 00:01:08 gate nntpcache-expire[30425]: expire.c:212: usedblocks = 69.6%, usedinodes = 36.5%, maxArtAge = 46s, expire ended Sep 30 00:01:08 gate nntpcache-expire[30425]: expire task retiring And here are fragments of nntpcache.conf: maxMmap 32M anonMmap no minFilesFreePercent 30 minBlocksFreePercent 10 hisHighWater 60M hisLowWater 40M maxArtAge 2w expireCheckPeriod 1m overviewFmtTimeout 7d And nntpcache.servers: news.vogel.pl 192.16.1.1 4h 2d 2d 30m 60d 60d %BeginGroups * news.vogel.pl And here is content of spool directory:: -rw-r----- 1 news news 4 wrz 29 23:23 cache.base -rw-r----- 1 news news 3.0k wrz 30 00:07 cache.history -rw-r----- 1 news news 62 wrz 29 23:23 cache.history.dir -rw-r----- 1 news news 2.7M wrz 30 00:07 cache.history.pag -rw-r----- 1 root root 32M wrz 30 00:02 cache.mmap drwxr-x--- 3 news news 1.0k wrz 29 23:48 news.vogel.pl -rw-r----- 1 news news 6 wrz 29 23:25 nntpcache.pid -rw-r----- 1 news news 4.2k wrz 29 23:53 nntpcache.stats Please note that cache.map is owned by root - it was made so by nntpcached, but daemon has 'news.news' ownership set in config file and in fact it works as user 'news'. Is this OK? TIA for any help.
