Can anyone recommend a public news server that is reliable and has been around for a long time? The public server we use went down this morning. I can't afford for this to happen again. Please don't refer me to websites with lists of public servers. I want to know ones which people on this mailing list have experience of using. Please only tell me of servers that allow postings and carry a fairly large number of newsgroups (about 25,000 plus). Thanks a lot for all those who can help on this. I'm sure a lot of people would like to know which servers can be relied upon in the real world. Mohmed.
