about nntpcache 2.4-b3

Has anybody experience in nntpcache 2.4-b3 over Redhat 6.0?

I'd like to install it, but i don't know if i'll have to install 2.3.3 o
2.4.b3

does it compile  well?
is there any problem in its work?
