That is actually what tipped me off: I grabbed an old RPM and backgraded
to 2.3.3 and found the same behaviour.
BTW, this latest bug fix that includes a hack for (I presume) receiving
messages from usenet servers who may not be Y2K-ready due to a loose
interpretation of the RFC ... how prevalent are such servers likely to
be out there in the real world? Have any been identified?
