I just realized that I commented news.nntpcache.org out but left the newsgroups in. Does this make a difference? Also news.profi.net might actually have some of the same news groups as the others? Does that hurt or cause bad juju? However, even if I only access newsgroups from profi.net the error messages occur. We currently have about 22800 newsgroups listed, but I block the following: <nocem@nntpcache> * read, quick 192.168.X.X <http> read, quick # full access for our local network 192.168.* * read, post localhost * read, post # except for * tempered.* deny # Remove all the unusefull and harmfull stuff * *bainaries* deny, strip * *binaries* deny, strip * *sex* deny, strip * *erotica* deny, strip * *mp3* deny, strip * *gay* deny, strip * *lesbian* deny, strip * *porn* deny, strip <STDIN> * read, post Thanks for helping.
