I'm trying to set up a local news server/cache with this configuration: NNTPCache for merging newsgroups from different external news server and INN for internal newsgroups at port 120, without any news-feeds. each time NNTPCache gets the active file from INN, INN stops without any error message. A newsreader configured at port 120 works fine with INN. this is from the NNTPcache-Log: ====== /var/log/news ====== Jul 2 14:25:47 news innd: localhost connected 16 streaming allowed Jul 2 14:25:47 news nntpcache-update[498]: list.c:416: refused list overview.fmt on localhost:120: '500 Syntax error or bad command' Jul 2 14:25:48 news nntpcache-update[498]: sockets.c:244: error reading from ne ws server =============================== any hints?
