Hi folks. I compiled NNTPcache and installed on my BSD/OS 3.1 box (P166, 64Mb RAM) and it's working flawless but the statistics seems to be broken. When I connect to the daemon and issue "ARTICLE <stats@nntpcache>" it prints some info (which doesn't seems to be all correct) and suddenly closes the connection after printing some more weird stuff (my quotes are inside "[]"): $ nc mynewsserver 119 ARTICLE <stats@nntpcache> 200 mynewsserver.mydomain.com NNTPcache server V2.3.2.1 [see www.nntpcache.org] (c) 1996-1998 Julian Assange <proff@iq.org> Apr 3 1998 ready (posting ok). 220 0 article <stats@nntpcache> Newsgroups: nntpcache.statistics Message-ID: <stats@nntpcache> Date: 17 Apr 1998 15:36:38 EST Subject: NNTPCACHE Statistics From: NNTPCACHE Statistics <nntpcache> NNTPCACHE 2.3.2.1 statistics on mynewsserver.mydomain.com, DEFAULT:119 OVERALL: Statistics gathering commenced: 03 Apr 1998 21:32:51 EST Current nntpcached started: 15 Apr 1998 22:39:00 EST Servers run during statistical period: 11 Clients active: 3 Client connects: 8342 (...)
