Hi Pragati,

Glad to hear your interest.

If working in hypervisors excite you, then you can have a look at Xen project "https://xenproject.org".
You would need to subscribe to the xen-devel mailing list.

There are some things which a newbie can get started with. For eg
https://lore.kernel.org/all/alpine.DEB.2.22.394.2309281609360.1996340@ubuntu-linux-20-04-desktop/T/#m0971ebab276a4f7e63982523cf535059322a4f2e
https://gitlab.com/groups/xen-project/-/issues/?label_name%5B%5D=Difficulty%3A%3A1-GOOD%20FIRST%20ISSUE
https://gitlab.com/groups/xen-project/-/issues/?label_name%5B%5D=Difficulty%3A%3A1-EASY

You can join the matrix and ask for more suggestions/details.

Kind regards,
Ayan

I hope this message finds you well. I am eager to dive into the world of open source contributions and am seeking guidance on suitable projects to begin my journey. As a new contributor, I am looking for projects that are welcoming to beginners and offer opportunities to learn and grow within the kernel development space.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations or suggestions for open source projects within the kernel ecosystem that are beginner-friendly and actively seeking contributions. Whether it's documentation improvements, bug fixes, or small feature additions, I am enthusiastic about contributing in any way I can.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and support. I am looking forward to becoming an active member of the community and contributing to the advancement of open source software.

Best regards,
Pragati ghatte
