@Krishna Actually, I believe that in sone cases, allocating memory on a specified Numa node can be of interest, especiallly in terms of performance. For example, each PCI device is associated with a Numa node. Projects like DPDK are NUMA aware in the sense that memory is allocated on a specified NUMA node. This contributes to boost performance.
