but actually my question was very simple ..
it wsnt so complex.
it was just that i was just writing for practice sake
a sample block device driver example in LDD
there they ahve given all this description abt sector size in ch 16
which confued me totally .
so i thought if an of you can if clarify .
its not related to any spl block device with me
but i dont know how my ques became so complex that
i got answers from seems to be third world...
so i thought to reframe it for once again ..pl read my ques again ..i am sure any of u can help me ...

A patch was just sent to the libata list related to non-512 byte sectors.

Apparently support had never actually gone in, so this is the enabling
logic. It will still need code added to the individual controller
