Problem cloning linux kernel tree

I was wondering if anyone knew the cause of this error message. I am
running Debian (Lenny) with the 2.6.26-1-686 kernel, here is the
command along with output.

$sudo git clone
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-2.6.28.y.git
linux-2.6
