i recently set up my account on an internal corporate network to use an HTTP proxy to allow git to grab the kernel source, then ran $ git clone http://www.kernel.org/pub/...etc etc ... which gets as far as getting the pack list, then claims that it can't get a needed blob. i've tried it several times and it fails exactly the same way each time. is anyone else seeing this? i need to use http and a proxy here since the corporate network doesn't make the 9418(?) git port available, so using the git protocol isn't an option. is it possibly that the server on the other end is unavailable? rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
