Actually i mean the  ehci-hcd,uhci-hcd and ohci-hcd etc...whats the use of this drivers..and what is the use of "usbcore" driver....why this usbcore and host drivers are needed to make the usb port work...Thanks for your reply...

Are you referring to USB class drivers? These sit on top of the HCI
drivers and implement
class specific functionality. The HCI driver directly interacts with
the underlying h/w...and
the class drivers interact with connected devices via this layer. THe
class drivers implement
specific USB classes like HID, CDC (ACM/ECM etc), mass storage etc etc
