Hi. Did you set the configuration in your hyperterm? I think you may try
the terminal type to vt100 or xterm. (Although I didn't use hyperterm
before, I thought maybe it is the problem.)

I recommend to use putty instead of hyperterm because it's more suitable
for working under remote terminal.
