I know that this is slightly off the topic but I noticed that when I tried to build kernel 2.6.11 or earlier kernel version, mkinitramfs complains that the kernel is too old so I could not get the initrd image and I could not get the mkinitrd using apt-get, either. Does anybody know if there is work-around to it? Thanks.
