Re: How do I know my root FS ??

I rebooted with all SCSI options set to Y and all FS options set to Y
(taking no risk this time :) )

but this time I got a slightly better  :)  ERROR !!  Can you see that 8,1 ???

[4294671,594000] VFS: Cannot open root device "sda1" or unknown-block(8,1)
[4294671,594000] Please append a correct "root=" boot option
[4294671,594000] Kernel panic -not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root
fs on unknown-block(8,1)
[4294671,594000]_

hang !!!

Now I think you all might suggest me something ??
