Hello,

Iam very new to the linux field.

Can you please help me with my project. I need to interface an LCD Epson S1D13506 to the ARM AT91RM9200.

Since iam new to this field i would like to know how i can proceed.

I have downloaded the kernel 2.6 from the kernel.org site.

Do i have to customise the kernel to support AT91RM9200, I checked the arch folder but iam not sure where i can find it. Is AT91RM9200 supported in kernel 2.6??

Can you let me know what exactly Ramdisk will do? How will it help me load my U-boot into the Flash (8MB) on my board.

I understand that I will have to load my kernel 2.6 later with the help of the TFTP protocol. How can i do that?

Another thing I wanted to know is, how should my compile options be for ARM? current Iam using gcc -wall objectfilename filename.

How can i interface my LCD driver to my kernel. What r the steps i need to follow?

Please help me out.

Warm regards

Queenie
