CIFS too slow on x86_64 machine.

Hello.

I'm using ThinkPad X60 (Intel Core 2 Duo, x86_64)
and noticed that CIFS write is too slow.

Read performance via CIFS is about 10MB/s, but
write performance via CIFS is about 64KB/s - 1MB/s.
Write performance via scp is about 10MB/s.

I tried CentOS 4.4 (i386, x86_64; 2.6.9-42.0.10.EL)
and KNOPPIX 5(i386), the result was same.

I want to know whether this is ThinkPad's problem
or CIFS's problem.

Can somebody who has x86_64 machine report performance test result?
Just "time dd if=/dev/zero of=/path_to_cifs_mount bs=1048576 count=10" is enough.

Regards.
