I2C and interrupts

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello.

Philips I2C specs mentions it is possible to receive a hardware interrupt
from an I2C device when data is ready, so one doesn't have to use
software polling.

Is it supported in Linux I2C buses in general ? Can I2C chip drivers register
an interrupt handler ?

Is it supported by the Linux parallel port I2C bus ?

how is the interrupt transfered ? via a third line ?

Thank You
naziir.
