It can be done, much in the same way as pigs fly just fine with
sufficient thrust.

Disdadvantages are numerous:

- security: when things go wrong you're running in kernel mode with all
  privileges
- programming mistakes will result in a kernel oops instead of a
  segmentation fault
- the usual "don't read files from kernel space", see the FAQ on the
  website about that
