Hi,
Thanks I was able to load 2.6.19 on FC4. I had missed out some modules and also, hadn't done "make modules_install" after re-compiling.

Also, I'm working on extending this kernel to some Wi-Fi drivers. If you guys worked on this, I'll be happy to take inputs. If I need further assistance, I'm glad this mailing list can help me out.

this only does more damage than good.

it's more likely that you didn't compile your storage driver, or your
filesystem (or Device manager)...
