Read Serial Port

Hi List!

I have a question that it's not totally kernel-related (sorry...)

I need to read some data that is coming through the serial port. Under
windows, I just run HyperTerminal and configure bauds and more (11500,
8 bits, 1 parity, No flow control)

Which program allows to do this under Linux??

I need to send and receive data through the serial port. Very similar
when we connect two computers using serial port and HyperTerminal.

Thanks in advance
