Does cdrecord work with DVD Writers?

Hi All,

	I am using the following command to burn an ISO Image in from Fedora
core 4 Version.... 

 	cdrecord -v dev=1,1,0 FC-5-x86_64-disc1.iso

I am using a Sony Rewritable DVD drive DRU - 820A. And its giveing the
following error. I understand that it doesnto reognize the drive for
writing. But what should i do now? Is there any yum updations available
for this?
