SYSTEM_VECTOR and use

Hi all,

While going through source code related to linux kernel, i found the macro in asm/hw_irq.h as "#define FIRST_SYSTEM_VECTOR 0xdf".

can anybody please tell me what is system vector ? and what's its use ?
