No, there is none. This is currently unused code, and if any in-kernel 
code will start using it, the relevant #ifdef ACPI_FUTURE_USAGE's should 
be removed.

When you submit your code for inclusion in the kernel, also submit a 
patch for removing the #ifdef ACPI_FUTURE_USAGE's around the functions 
you are using.
