libata and klibc . Are they kernel-space?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

a simple question.

Are libata and klibc user-space libraries?

The 'lib'-prefix of libata seems to suggest this is userspace library,
but I have seen some kernel patch for it.

The 'k'-prefix of klibc seems to suggest this is a kernelspace thing..
But... a libc for kernel? isn't that bloat?
