hi ,

I do not usb devices (flash derives) to be detected by kernel?

any particular reasons for  this? :-)

Can anybody tell me at what stage do the usb modules are loaded at boot

well  i am not sure but yes you can avoid loading a usb module during boot time by changing you modules.conf file ( AFAIR ) .

but still if you dont at all a USB module better recompile your kernel with USB module unchecked.

i hope it will help.

Thanks,

you are welcome

good luck
