How pci_bus_read_config_word is implemented?

Hi there,

i am reading the 2.6.10 kernel codes and come up with a question:

in include/linux/pci.h i found that "pci_bus_read_config_word" is just
defined and not yet implemented, but is referenced in other files. why
is so?

or the question should be:

why the "pci_bus_read_config_word" is not implemented, or it is somewhere else?
