Hm, no keyboard reaction....then magic sysrq won't do any good. Try to 
enable serial console and send magic sysrq from another PC/laptop 
through serial link. Dump the stack trace and registers as this might 
provide a hint. However, no guarantee it will work too.

Usually, NMI watchdog is your friend on this kind of system lock, but I 
am not sure whether your laptop has one. try to find out by reading 
your laptop manual
