With the installation of Quilt I used before writing my initial e-mail,
this failed.

Then, instead of compiling a RPM package, I compiled Quilt directly, and
now it works correctly. So, somehow, the RPM compilation stuff broke the
thing. Strange.

Now, everything works as explained in the tutorial, which is really easy
to read and understand.
