the original usr/src/linux2.4.21-4.EL is not a compiled version.i didn't want to play with it.so i created a test version named testlinux and started the compilation,configuration.i intend to work on modules/device drivers.with the make_install command, no bzimage was copied to /boot.i had todo it manuall.
