Problem booting the kernel -- no tty

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi!

I started to learn device driver programming for linux. For that I
downloaded 2.4.20 kernel from kernel.org. I compiled the kernel and
installed it. But as I boot from it, It does not find any tty nodes in
/dev and doesnot recognize my ext3 home partition. I have compiled the
kernel with ext3 filesystem support but still...

Any ideas?

Thanks and regards
