Hi , I did the following when I was migrating to a 2.6.10
from a 2.4.21:

make menuconfig
make bzImage
make modules
make modules_install
make install

At this stage , i got an error "No aic7xxx module
found". at /lib/....drivers/scsi/aic7xxx ,
i did cp aic7xxx.ko aic7xxx.o

Make install worked fine , but when I reboot, I get a kernel panic after:

Loading aic7xxx.o module
aic7xxx:Unknown symbol scsi_delete_timer
.....
.... [ bunch of Unknown symbols]
....

insmod error inserting /lib/aic7xxx.o

help required!
Thanks,
Sai
