hi, You called "sidt" instruction to get the base address of IDT,store it in some unsigned long or in unsigned char arrays,it does'n't matter what u called this array,and then u can directly access any entry of IDT but note these entries not point to any handler directly rather they go through internediate stub the stub called "error_code" u will grep for it it in assemble language,all ENTRY points are there, and that error_code then first saves the status of machine,changes the segment desc. to kernel segment desc. and jumps to real handler.
