hi all
i need to connect two lans using a gateway.
i have 3 computers .
comp1-----------------
|
gateway
|
----------------------comp2
gateway has two lan cards:
eth0: 10.10.10.1
eth1: 10.10.11.1
comp1: eth0:10.10.10.2
route :
n/w netmask gateway
10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0 *
10.10.11.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.10.1
comp2: eth1: 10.10.11.2
route
n/w netmask gateway
10.10.11.0 255.255.255.0 *
10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.11.1
(i have ommitted other entries like flags etc).
while i PING i can PING from either comp to gateway
but i can't ping from one comp to other comp ( i.e
from one lan to another lan)
TCPDUMP shows that requests are reaching from one
comp for another comp to gateway. but no packets are
forwarded by gateway to the other comp(other lan)
i have just done this entry making and no other
particular software or no particular option found to
do the above task.
plz help me as soon as possible .
its very urgent .
