hi,
i am some problem while printing the contents of the file with tab spaces in the file from the kernel mode. the tab spaces are converted to junk characteres if i print them inside the kernel mode with the printk.

my code snippet is :

.
.
.

fd=openptr("test.txt",O_RDONLY,0666);
len=readptr(fd,buff,sizeof(buff);

this is not possible.

printk("%s",buff); . . .

the test.txt file contain only a line of string
"this    is    test"

the space in between the string is tab spaces.

while i print the output it shows junk.

so any help is appreciated,
thks,
