OT - Implementing Memory manager

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I have an off-topic programming question. I need to
implement a memory manager on a chunk of memory space
eg. 1MB (could be 5MB down the line). I need to
implement a typical interface to it eg. malloc, free.

Can anyone give any pointers as to how I go out
investigating implementations of this - books, urls.
Any pointers to urls, files as to how Linux ( or BSD
for that matter) implements it.

Thanks,
Ahmed.
