Hello, I have the following scenario, can someone tell me if I this will work? I have a system with Linux installed. Looking at the config file, it has the NFS configuration option set to M (compile as module). If I do the following steps, is it valid, and will it work: 1. Copy the /src/linux to my local directory 2. Make some changes to NFS source file (basically add kprintfs ) 3. Compile kernel (hence compile the module). 4. Install the module (of course logged in as root). Note I am doing this without using the newly built kernel, or do I need to reboot with new kernel before I can use the new module? Thanks, Ahmed. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
