Naw.  I sent them fan mail, but they ignored me.  Probably because I
was writing a block device driver, and *admitted* it...

BTW, finished the driver.  Actually works, too.  :-)

I'd like to publicly thank many, many people here at kernel-newbies
who have helped/encouraged me; from the guy who gave me "Basic Unix,
Chapter One", to the one who said to wear my "flame-retardant
underwear" and "fight the good fight".

P.S.  Steve, you might try contacting one of the authors/maintainers
for network devices in the kernel (...drivers/net...).  Some authors
are really nice people who don't mind answering a few questions.
