Hi all,

I m looking into the linux static routing code( ip_route_input_slow linux
2.4.6).
There are 3 kinds of tables which linux uses.
1.local table
2.main table
3.default table

Now i need to know on what basis the entries are put in the corresponding
table ??
why do we require 3 different tables & what is thier signifance???
where can i find some documentation which explains the linux static routing
in detail???

Thanks & Regards,
-Lakshmi
