I personally like slackware. But RedHat is easy to get up and running if you -really- don't know much about anything at all. You can read the helpful manual and be goin' in just a little bit.

Suse also provides a nice user interface if you want to look into that, but I find Suse a bit "clunky" in comparison with RedHat or Slackware. For the ultra newbie, I'd look into just using RedHat.

Sincerely,

Alex

Subject: Linux

Hi, I am a total Linux newbie, in fact I don't think that you could even call me a newbie yet!

I have a spare computer, celeron 600MHz, 64MB and 15GBHDD, and I would like to know how I can get a hold of a decent Linux OS, one that has a good user interface and does not cost much and is relatively straight forward to set up.

Could you please advise me

Thanx!

Rupi
