Introducing packets into the routing route.

Hello everybody,
I was working on something which wanted me to take the packet off its
normal processing stream. Finally I need to introduce the packet back into
the routing sub-system. The net-filter interface provides a clean way of
removing packets off their normal route. Is there any such clean way for
re-introducing the packet back into the routing sequence. The packet i have
has the knowledge of layer-3,4 and application data.
I am also new to such stuff. Can someone suggest how do I go about
reintroducing the packet. I want the packet to get routed as a normal packet
after it is introduced back into the system.

Thanks,
