I do use a proxy, ... squid .. and yes, messenger is set to go through it.

Hi ,i dont have this problem with nat, so i recommend to look at yout
iptables rules, or configure msn for using a squid proxy installed on
your nat machine, which is usefull in any way, in any case this project
will help you too
