Yeah, SuSE configures everything through a yast2 gui and the options are very limited. It may work for a simple configuration like his, but that's about it. See if you have iptables or ipchains -- type iptables-save and if you get output, post it to the list and we'll see what SuSE is doing firewall wise. SuSE 8.2 comes with iptables.
