Indeed,

 i have found to use load balanceing you will need to use the Nth and maybee
the Random patch togeather to give a sudo type soloution ..

Also have you considered using the TC (Traffic Control Tool) for linux and
also have you read the
excellent documentation @ http://lartc.org/ ..

anyway good luck its not as easy as it seems ..
