CONTRACT RELEASE: C13-002

NASA SELECTS CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACTOR

WASHINGTON -- NASA has selected Frontier-Arrowhead NASA Services Joint
Venture of Kansas City, Mo., to manage and oversee construction
projects at the agency's Glenn Research Center in Cleveland and Plum
Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.

The Construction Management, Inspection, Surveillance and Testing
(CMIST) contract will help assure there are safe, efficient, reliable
and sustainable facilities and systems to support Glenn's research
and development mission.

The contract begins April 1 with an 18-month base period. It includes
options to extend the work through March 31, 2018. If NASA exercises
all options, the maximum potential value for the five-year,
cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is $33.8 million.

Frontier-Arrowhead and its subcontractor, SAIC Inc. of Twinsburg,
Ohio, will provide construction project management and inspection,
building and life safety code compliance, surveying and testing
support. Tasks include designing new construction and rehabilitating,
modifying and repairing facilities at Glenn.
