Critical SLS Test Hardware Arrives at Marshall

After an 18-day journey by barge from NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, structural test hardware for NASA's new heavy-lift rocket, the Space Launch System, arrived at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center this week. The engine section structural test article is the first major SLS core stage test hardware manufactured at Michoud to be sent to Marshall for testing.

(Video 1:40) Fighting Cancer Through Microgravity Research

Conducting cancer research in the microgravity environment of the International Space Station offers unique insight into the genetic and cellular processes that can’t be duplicated on Earth. Check out this video discussing how cell growth in space more closely resemble what happens in the body.

Cassini Completes the Fourth Ring Dive of the Spacecraft's Grand Finale

NASA's Cassini spacecraft continued its daring "Grand Finale" this week with its fourth dive through the narrow gap between the Saturn and planet's rings.
