Rolling on a River: NASA’s Barge Pegasus Returns to MichoudPegasus traveled from NASA’s Stennis Space Center to the Michoud Assembly Facility this week on the Pearl River. The barge returned to Michoud to ship parts of the Space Launch System. Pegasus will carry core stage structural test articles from Michoud to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight, for testing.
Nov. 14 Supermoon a Spectacular SightThe moon is a familiar sight in our sky, brightening dark nights and reminding us of space exploration, past and present. But the upcoming Nov. 14 supermoon will be especially "super" because it’s the closest full moon to Earth since 1948. We won’t see another supermoon like this until 2034.

Starvation Diet for Black Hole Dims Brilliant GalaxyAstronomers may have solved the mystery of the peculiar volatile behavior of a supermassive black hole at the center of a galaxy. Combined data from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory and other observatories suggest that the black hole is no longer being fed enough fuel to make its surroundings shine brightly.
