Problem processing .swf file...

Carl,

Today's build of mplayer seems to have resolved the problem. I will keep watching (no pun intended) to see if the problem recurs.

Full screen mode does not work though, either through the "-fs" command line flag or the "f" command.

Here are the messages from the invocation of this "test" where I tried to turn on fullscreen mode.

Carl,

THANK YOU for your response. It IS appreciated.

After I posted this message, I back leveled my systems kernel and tried the same mplayer build which gave the same results as described in the message. This leads me to believe that it's not the kernel. Possibly in the x11 stuff and/or mplayer? This is where I need help.

My ~/.mplayer/config file is empty except for a comment saying "# Write your default config options here!".

To get this version, I downloaded an SVN snapshot .tar.bz2 file and then cd'd into the directory that "pops out" (mplayer-checkout-2010-04-26 in this case) and then did "svn up" and then did my "standard" build script.

I try to leave the source directory unmodified by making another directory at the same level named "obj-i686-pc-linux-gnu"... Then I run this script segment:
o
o
o
 snip
?cd obj-i686-pc-linux-gnu
?lndir ../mplayer

#make distclean

?../mplayer/configure --prefix=/usr/lsd/$osname???????????????????????? \
????????????????????? --enable-gui????????????????????????????????????? \
?????????????????????
 --enable-largefiles?????????????????????????????? \
????????????????????? --enable-menu???????????????????????????????????? \
????????????????????? --enable-debug
o snip
o
o

Then the script runs "make clean", "make depend", "make" and "make install" if the build succeeds.

I have the build log if you're interested. I just did another "svn up" and here's the
 output:

/tools/mplayer/mplayer-checkout-2010-04-26# svn up

Please update your graphics driver to support xv (recommended) or remove the
"vo=xv" line from ~/.mplayer/config.

How did you get this version number?
I just tried hard and did not succeed, so please explain.

The warnings (and live) will be fixed in a few hours, Carl Eugen
