(Phew!) yes, thanks for clarifying this. As for the ac3 audio format, that seems to be one of the few formats this app seems to recognize. I didn't try pcm, though. FWIW, when ecoding directly as an ac3 audio, with mpeg4 video, mencoder will drop every 10th frame (this is an NTSC-M video, with 29.97 fps).
